Pizza; A Dish Enjoyed Around The World

All over the world, people of all ages regularly enjoy eating pizza. Quite often, the pizzas that people eat, are made at independently owned pizza restaurants.
There are small, “mom and pop”-style pizza restaurants located in small towns and big cities, everywhere. While these restaurants are primarily known for producing pizza pies, most of them also offer an assortment of other tasty foods.
The menus at most pizza restaurants usually feature some types of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, dinners, and more. Take-out service is usually available at these restaurants. The quality and flavor of the foods served at many pizza restaurants can rival that of the food served at higher-end eateries, usually at a fraction of the price charged at fancier restaurants.
Garden-fresh salads are a staple on pizza restaurant menus. Some restaurants may only have tossed, or garden salads on their menus, while others might feature six or more different salads. Because most pizza restaurants regularly use lots of lettuce and tomatoes as ingredients in their subs, the vegetables in their salads are usually very fresh. Chicken wings and chicken tenders are now served at myriad pizza restaurants, as are burgers and French fries. Club sandwiches, pita pockets, and wraps can also frequently be found on the menus at these dining spots. Calzones, Stromboli’s, and stuffed breads are featured on some pizza restaurant menus. Various types of fried seafood, such as fried shrimp, clam strips, and fish & chips are now often served at these establishments.
The area where most pizza restaurants really shine, is in their preparation and service of their pasta dishes, and Italian-style dinners. At many pizza restaurants, customers can eat large servings of spaghetti, shells, or ziti, topped with flavorful marinara sauce, and meatballs or sausage, for less than ten dollars. For approximately the same price, customers can often order such Italian-style specialties as manicotti, lasagna, and stuffed shells. More often than not, pasta dishes at these restaurants are served with a small salad, and bread and butter.
It is now common for pizza restaurants to offer several types of desserts on their menus. Typical dessert items include chocolate cake, carrot cake, cheesecake and tiramisu.
Neighborhood pizza restaurants are great places to enjoy a meal by oneself, while on a date, or when dining with the whole family. The prices are generally very reasonable, service is usually fast, and hopefully, the food will be delicious.
